Knecht's Auto Parts is planning to close all of its stores across Oregon, company officials confirmed. The local family-owned chain has operated in Oregon for more than 75 years, opening its first store in Springfield in 1947. It has eight locations across the state, including six in Lane County, according to the company's website. According to Knecht's CEO Kevin Sabbato, the company is "no longer sustainable." He said they've seen a drastic change in the retail landscape over the past 20 years, and Knecht's started to lose its market share as other national auto part stores introduced locations in Oregon.
